We say this without hedging. Of every product in the iCandy Grafix displays range, a printed table throw delivers the largest jump in perceived professionalism per dollar spent.
A couple of hundred dollars is the difference between looking like an established business and looking like somebody who set up in a hurry with whatever the venue provided. At a regional trade show or a community event, where most exhibitors are working with the same 6ft table, it is also the fastest way to look more serious than the booth next to you.
Printed by dye sublimation, so the ink is bonded into the polyester fibre rather than sitting on the surface.
Snug and tailored, no draping, no loose fabric. Modern appearance, and practically it will not get dragged off the table by somebody’s chair or bag. Increasingly, the default for corporate and trade show use.
Traditional tablecloth shape, hanging to the floor on three or four sides. Softer look, more forgiving of an uneven table, and easier to store under.
Front and both sides printed, back left open so you can store boxes, cases, and coats under the table without the cloth in the way. Most trade show clients choose this once they realise it exists, because storage at a booth is always a problem.
A printed strip laid over an existing plain cloth. The cheapest option, and the right answer if you already own plain covers or the venue supplies them.
A 6ft table measures 72 by 30 inches. An 8ft table measures 96 by 30 inches.
Confirm with your venue or the exhibitor kit which one they supply. Do not assume 6ft. A 6ft throw on an 8ft table looks precisely as bad as it sounds, with a foot of bare table showing at each end and nothing you can do about it on the day.
Some venues use 4ft cocktail rounds or 30-inch high-top tables, which need a completely different cut, so mention it if that is what you are covering.
Put the logo on the front centre, sitting in the top third of the visible drop.
The bottom half of a draped throw disappears behind chairs, laptops, bags, and the people sitting at the table. On a fitted throw, the same applies once anybody is standing in front of it. Anything critical placed low will not be seen at any point during the event.
Keep the side panels simple, since they are only ever viewed at a sharp angle. A logo and possibly a single line are the practical limit there.
Machine wash cold, hang dry, and if it needs pressing, use a low iron on the reverse side. Dye-sublimated print will not crack, peel, or fade in the wash, because the ink is inside the fibre.
Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry on high heat.
This is one of the underrated advantages of the product. A throw that has been to an outdoor market, picked up dust and had coffee spilled on it goes in a washing machine and comes out ready for the next event. A vinyl banner would not survive that treatment and a cheap cloth would stain permanently.
5 to 10 business days after proof approval, since each cover is printed, cut and sewn to order. Order three weeks before an event to be comfortable.
A 6 foot table measures 72 by 30 inches, so you need a 6ft table throw. iCandy Grafix produces fitted, draped and open-back covers in both 6ft and 8ft sizes, and we recommend confirming the table size with your venue first, since 8ft tables are equally common at trade shows.
Yes. iCandy Grafix prints table throws using dye sublimation, which bonds the ink into the polyester fibre, so covers can be machine washed cold and hung to dry without fading, cracking or peeling. Do not bleach or tumble dry on high heat.
A fitted throw is tailored to the table with no loose fabric, giving a modern appearance and staying in place. A draped throw hangs loosely to the floor in the traditional tablecloth shape, which is more forgiving of an uneven table and easier to store items beneath.
Custom table throws take 5 to 10 business days after proof approval, since each cover is printed and sewn to order. Contact iCandy Grafix at (972) 961-3275 if you need one faster for an upcoming show and we will check the production schedule.
Front centre, in the top third of the visible drop. The lower half of any throw is hidden by chairs, equipment and people once the event starts, so anything placed low will not be seen. Side panels are viewed at an angle and should carry a logo at most.
