Custom Printed Event Tents and Canopies

In Texas, the tent is not an accessory

Outdoor market in June. Youth sports tournament in August. Grand opening in a parking lot in September, which around here is still summer.

Whoever has shade gets the visitors. That is not a marketing insight; it is just what happens when it is 98 degrees, and people are choosing which booth to stand at. And if that shade has your name printed across all four sides of the canopy, people can find you from the far end of a field, which at a large tournament is genuinely the difference between being found and not.

iCandy Grafix produces custom pop-up tents as part of our display range, printed full colour by dye sublimation on the canopy, with matching walls and side panels available.

What can be printed

Canopy top

All four valances plus the peak panels. Full colour, edge to edge. The valances are what people read at ground level, and the peaks are what they see from a distance across a field.

Back wall

Full width, solid, or with a window panel.

Half walls

Counter height at the front, so you can serve across a table while the branding sits below it. Standard for market and food vendors.

Side walls

Full or half height, zip on and off as conditions change.

Matching table throw

See table throws, and getting these to match is worth doing because a mismatched tent and table read as two separate purchases.

Frame grades, and why it matters here

Economy steel frames are adequate for a handful of calm days a year. The joints are thinner, the leg sections are lighter, and they bend under load rather than flexing back.

Commercial aluminium frames with heavier truss sections are what you want if the tent goes out weekly, or if it lives at soccer and baseball fields where the wind picks up every afternoon. We have replaced enough bent economy frames for clients who bought at a price to have a settled opinion about this.

The canopy fabric usually outlives an economy frame by several years, which means clients end up buying a second frame to keep using a canopy that is still fine. Buying the better frame first is cheaper.

Weighting, every time

Sandbags or weight plates on all four legs, minimum, even on a still morning. Conditions change throughout the day, and a 10×10 canopy generates a genuinely surprising amount of lift.

Stakes into grass where the ground allows. On asphalt and concrete, weights are the only option, and they are not optional.

Sizes

10×10 is the standard vendor footprint at almost every North Texas market, tournament, and festival. If you are unsure, this is the answer.

10×15 and 10×20 for larger activations and multi-station setups.

Confirm your event’s allocated booth size before ordering. Many markets allocate exactly 10×10, and a 10×15 will not fit, at which point you have an expensive tent you cannot use at your main event.

Fabric and weather

Waterproof, flame-retardant polyester canopy fabric, printed by dye sublimation so the ink is bonded into the fibre. That matters outdoors, because surface-printed canopy graphics fade and crack under sustained UV in a way dye sublimation does not.

The canopy sheds rain. It is not a structure for severe weather, and no pop-up canopy is. If a storm comes through, take it down.

Lead time

10 to 15 business days after proof approval, because the canopy is cut and sewn to order rather than pulled from stock. Order at least a month before your event, and earlier if it falls in the spring market season when everybody orders at once.

Frequently Asked Questions

A custom printed 10×10 event tent generally costs $700 to $1,600 depending on frame grade and how many panels are printed. iCandy Grafix quotes canopy-only packages at the lower end and complete setups with back wall, half walls and matching table throw at the upper end.

Yes. iCandy Grafix uses waterproof, flame-retardant polyester canopy fabric with dye sublimation printing, so the canopy sheds rain and the graphics stay bright through repeated sun exposure. No pop-up canopy is suitable for severe weather and should be taken down in storms.

Custom event tents take 10 to 15 business days after proof approval, since the canopy is cut and sewn to order. Order at least four weeks before your event date to allow for design, production and shipping.

A commercial aluminium frame with heavier truss sections. Economy steel frames bend under load and are only suitable for occasional use in calm conditions. Since the canopy fabric typically outlives an economy frame, buying the better frame first usually costs less overall.

Yes, always. Use sandbags or weight plates on all four legs even on a still morning, since conditions change through a day and a canopy generates substantial lift. On grass, stakes can be used as well. On asphalt and concrete, weights are the only option.
