Trade Show Booth Displays and Packages

The 10x10 checklist, in the order it matters

If this is your first show, this is what actually goes into a 10×10 booth and the order to buy it in.

1. Backdrop wall, 8x8 fabric

Your headline, read from down the aisle. This is what makes somebody decide to walk over.

2. Fitted table throw, 6ft or 8ft

The bare hotel table with a creased cloth over it is the single most common own goal at regional shows. A fitted printed throw costs a couple of hundred dollars and does more for perceived credibility than anything else at this price. See table throws.

3. Two retractable banner stands

One at each front corner, angled slightly inward to funnel people in.

4. A counter or podium

If you are demonstrating anything, taking payment, or need somewhere to put a laptop that is not the table.

5. Something printed to hand over

Even a good single-page leaflet outperforms a business card, because it survives the drive home on the passenger seat, where a card goes into a pocket and vanishes.

That package, produced by iCandy Grafix, generally lands between $1,500 and $3,000, depending on hardware grade. Everything is part of our display range and can be bought piece by piece over several shows rather than all at once.

Read the exhibitor kit before you order anything

This is the step that costs people money, and it takes ten minutes.

Maximum back wall height. Usually 8ft for in-line booths, occasionally less. We have seen a beautiful 10ft backdrop arrive at a hall with an 8ft limit, where it could not be used at all.

Hanging sign permission. Most in-line booths are not permitted overhead signage. Island booths usually are.

Whether a table is provided and what size. Do not assume 6ft. Plenty of shows supply 8ft, and a 6ft throw on an 8ft table looks exactly as bad as it sounds.

Electrical drops and their cost. Show electrical is expensive and often has to be ordered weeks in advance.

Advance warehouse deadlines. Shipping to the advance warehouse is usually cheaper than direct-to-venue and has an earlier cutoff.

Send us the exhibitor kit PDF, and we will lay out your booth against the actual rules for that hall rather than a generic layout.

Larger booths

10×20 and 20×20 layouts need a genuine plan rather than more of the same equipment. Sightlines from the aisle, traffic flow through the space, where people stop, where storage for boxes and coats goes, and whether the space needs to be divisible for meetings.

The most common failure in a larger booth is putting a table across the front, which creates a barrier and stops anybody from entering. Open the front and put the meeting surface at the back.

Cases and shipping

All our booth packages ship in wheeled hard cases. Most cases can be fitted with a printed fabric skin, which turns the shipping crate into a branded counter once you flip it over on the show floor. It costs very little, and it removes the need for a separate counter.

We ship to advance warehouses or directly to venues, labelled to the show’s specification. Shows routinely refuse deliveries labelled incorrectly, so send us their shipping instructions rather than an address.

Frequently Asked Questions

A standard 10×10 booth needs an 8×8 backdrop wall, a fitted table throw, one or two retractable banner stands, and a printed handout. iCandy Grafix packages these together and typically delivers a complete 10×10 setup for $1,500 to $3,000, depending on hardware quality.

Order at least three weeks before the show. iCandy Grafix produces complete booth packages in 7 to 14 business days after proof approval, and that leaves room for a design round and shipping. Rush production is sometimes possible, so call (972) 961-3275 if your date is tighter.

Yes. iCandy Grafix ships to show advance warehouses or directly to venues, labelled to the show’s requirements. Send us the exhibitor shipping instructions, since shows commonly refuse deliveries that are not labelled to their exact format.

Most in-line booths cap back wall height at 8 feet, though some shows set it lower and island booths often allow more. Check the exhibitor kit before ordering, because a backdrop taller than the limit cannot be used and cannot be cut down.

Yes, and it is the sensible approach for a business doing two or three shows a year. Start with banner stands and a table throw, add a backdrop the following season, then a counter. iCandy Grafix keeps your artwork and specifications on file so everything matches as it is added.
