Canvas has a woven texture that absorbs light rather than bouncing it back. Under office downlights or restaurant lighting, a canvas piece reads calm and considered, whereas a glossy framed print reads shiny and reflective, and you can look at it from any angle without hitting a hotspot.

The image continues around the sides of the timber stretcher bar, so the piece hangs unframed and looks finished from every angle. The standard is what we produce unless told otherwise. It does mean losing roughly 1.5 inches of image around the edge, so anything critical needs to sit inside that margin.
The side edges are a mirrored reflection of the image border rather than part of the image itself, so nothing is lost from the composition. Correct where the picture is tightly cropped or where a face or key element sits near the edge.
The sides are printed in a flat colour drawn from the image. Clean, modern, and it works well in a set where several canvases hang together.

Poly-cotton canvas, pigment inks, stretched over 1.5-inch kiln-dried timber stretcher bars. Corners folded and stapled on the reverse. Hanging hardware is fitted so the piece arrives ready to go on the wall.
An optional satin or matte protective coating is available and worth taking in kitchens, gyms, bathrooms, and anywhere the piece may be touched, steamed, or splashed. Without it, the canvas should not be wiped with anything wet.
For canvas, 100 to 150 dpi at final printed size is sufficient, because the woven texture softens fine detail slightly and the piece is viewed from a normal room distance.
Photographs from recent smartphones print well up to roughly 24 by 36 inches. Older phone images, screenshots, and anything that has been through a messaging app or social platform generally do not, because those platforms compress heavily. Send the original file straight off the device rather than a version that has been shared.

Dust with a dry microfibre cloth only. Do not use water or cleaning products on an uncoated canvas. If the piece will hang somewhere prone to grease, steam, or handling, ask iCandy Grafix for a protective satin coating, which allows gentle wiping.
Any size, from small 8-by-10-inch pieces up to several feet across. Larger pieces are limited by the stretcher bar span rather than the printing, and very large canvases may need a cross-brace on the frame, which we add as standard above a certain size.
Canvas prints take 5 to 7 business days after proof approval, since each piece is printed, stretched, and finished to order. Sets of matched pieces for a hotel or office run on the same timeline.
