  • Q. How long will it take to get my sign?

    A. As all signs at iCandy Grafix are custom and made-to-order, it is difficult to provide a standard turn-around time. Artwork, permits, location, and production schedule can all have a significant time impact on any project.

These are some general guidelines that may help you in your planning process:

    • Digital prints: 2-3 days
    • Monument signs: 3-4 weeks
    • Dimensional letter signs: 2-3weeks
    • Illuminated signs: 2-3 weeks
    • Vehicle graphics: 3-5 days
    • Window graphics: 3-5 days
    • Banners: 2-5 days
    • Real estate yard signs: 2-5 days
  • Q. What is the average design turn-around time?

    A. Design turnaround is entirely up to the client. If proper reference material and communication is provided to iCandy Grafix's designers, the design time is greatly reduced and approval to production happens quickly. On average, design can take 1-5 days depending on revisions.

  • Q. What if I don't have any high-resolution art work?

    A. High-resolution artwork is available and can be purchased through various sources. You can also purchase Royalty-free artwork, then use it in all of your marketing material. iCandy Grafix utilizes several websites that provide high resolution artwork and images. Often, high resolution artwork can be obtained through a corporate office of most franchises. Keep in mind that we can assist you in designing a complete wrap from concept to completion which includes dealing with all of the high resolution artwork.

  • Q. What if I don't have vector art work?

    A. Don’t worry – iCandy Grafix can vectorize most artwork, even if we have to re-draw it. It is a matter of time and money. Provide us with a sample and we can give you an estimate.

  • Q. Does a vehicle have to be a certain color for a wrap to work?

    A. Generally, no. A full wrap covers all the painted surfaces of a vehicle (roof when requested) and is an opaque material. Areas such as chrome bumpers, grilles, and trim are generally not covered. Therefore, color usually does not matter. However, if you have a light vehicle and a dark wrap, edges and hinges may be slightly visible after installation. The same is true for the opposite. Please keep in mind that window coverage is subject to local and state regulations.

  • Q. What is a "proof?"

    A. A proof is a way of ensuring that iCandy Grafix has created your design accurately and that everything is positioned according to spec. We will create a proof which will be sent to you via e-mail or printed on paper or mailed to you. All projects require a signed proof or email confirmation in order to move forward to production.

  • Q. Who designs what the vehicle wrap will actually look like?

    A. iCandy Grafix's in-house graphic designers will work closely with you to achieve the look that meets your expectations. We focus on the design printing and installation of your vehicle wrap. Our vehicle wrap designers are very experienced and utilize the most updated design software and latest computers, so your vehicle is guaranteed to look amazing!

  • Q. What happens when the graphics are removed?

    A. In both the application and removal of vehicle wraps, the key is working with an experienced installer. iCandy Grafix rarely experiences problems with paint removal and therefore is a preferred vendor among many media and transit companies in Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX. Removal fees are additional.

  • Q. How and where do you install my vehicle wrap?

    A. iCandy Grafix can dispatch our vehicle wrap installers to your location in Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX, IF you have a suitable indoor facility where we can work, generally about 4-5 ft. around vehicle in enclosed area. We also have installation locations where you can bring your vehicle to get your wrap installed. Contact your sales representative if you do not have a facility.

  • Q. What is 3M's warranty?

    A. Coming soon

  • Q. What is Avery's warranty?

    A. Coming soon

  • Q. What kind(s) of files must I submit if I want to design my own vehicle wrap?

    A. EPS (vector), AI (legacy), JPEG, or TIFF files

If supplying vector files, include a .jpeg thumbnail or sample image of artwork for referencing of layers and colors. For vector files, save all fonts as curves or outlines.

Preferably the layout should be an unflattened, layered file, so we can make adjustments, or move design elements if necessary.

Photography should be hi-res. This means 300dpi at approx. 8 inches x 10 inches. Anything less will show a loss in quality.

All files should be in CMYK color format. If not, we will have to convert the file into this format for printing and the colors will change to some degree. The color black should have these values C=70, M=60, Y=30, K=100. If these values are not used the color black will not print as a true black.

All layouts need to be worked on at 100% of the size of the vehicle measurements, and at 72 dpi.

Send files via CD, or upload them to our site. We will review the sent artwork when received and make sure the files will print correctly.
